Just 30 minutes west of Edmonton in Parkland County, Grouse Nest Golf Course is home to one of the most scenic driving ranges in the Edmonton area. Forget the flat, fenced-in ranges crammed next to strip malls. Here, you launch balls into a wide-open clearing framed by mature spruce and poplar trees, with nothing but blue sky and birdsong overhead.

Conveniently located between Spruce Grove and Stony Plain, our practice facility is an easy drive from anywhere in the greater Edmonton region.

Your Forest Driving Range

Our golf driving range gives you the space and setting to work on every club in your bag. The facility features 16 tee-boxes with artificial turf practice mats, each marked with alignment guides to help you square up your stance and target line. The tees are spread apart so you don’t have to worry about crowding the golfer  beside you — just pick a spot and swing away.

Distance markers are set at varying distances around the range (50, 100, 150, 200, 250 yards) so you can really dial in your yardages, and target flags at various distances give you something to aim at. The outfield stretches 300 yards, offering plenty of room to let the big dog eat.

Hours of Operation: The driving range is open 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily during the season. Hours may vary early and late in the season depending on daylight and weather. Give us a call at 780-892-2006 if you are making a special trip and want to confirm we are open.

Getting Here

Grouse Nest Golf Course is located at 53318 Range Road 31, Parkland County, AB, just off Highway 16 between Spruce Grove and Stony Plain. Getting here is easy from anywhere in the Edmonton area.

From Edmonton

Head west on Highway 16 (Yellowhead Trail) past Spruce Grove. Turn north on Range Road 31. The course is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Edmonton, depending on traffic.

From Spruce Grove / Stony Plain

You are practically here already. Head west on Highway 16 and turn north onto Range Road 31. About 10 minutes from either town.
